Total life transformation awaits 1 man, 1 woman and 1 young designer from South Africa in this years Pride of India Extravaganza. The talent search is aimed at unearthing members of both the Indian and wider South African community who display the necessary qualities for stardom, who will take their chances and vie against all odds for a chance to be launched on an international stage.

Models chosen from Pride of India will be given opportunities many dream of: runway at India Fashion Week and the possibility of Bollywood fame. For the designer that cracks the nod at the prestigious event: Front row at India Fashion Week, and a retail spot at Haroun Hansrot’s design mecca- 75 along side brand names such as Manish Maholtra as well as a design bursary worth R25 000 from Reiner Academy of Design.

This year’s event celebrates the 150 years of Indian Heritage in South Africa and along with commemorating the achievements of the Indian community within the diverse South African context the Pride of India aims to work with businesses within the community to find untapped talent and creativity which exists in our country, and showcasing this to the world, making dreams come true by providing opportunities in sectors which have previously been overlooked.

A celebration of Indian heritage as South Africa is exposed to the magnificence of Indian culture and beauty in an event to rival those on an international circuit. The Pride of India is to be South Africa's leading achievement programs and the country’s largest provider of opportunities and assistance for young men and women across media, fashion, design, cultural and personal enhancement.

With a high level of interest in Indian fashion, culture and Bollywood on the global increase, here lies the opportunity to close a vast gap of an extravaganza of this level which has not yet been done before in this country.
